Please Wait For Me! is a rhyming story that helps young children understand that some of their friends may need a little more time to talk and share their ideas.
Through the story of Sammy, children see how it can feel when words are difficult to find, and learn the importance of patience, kindness and giving others time to express themselves.
Written to support children who experience communication difficulties, including challenges with information processing, word finding and sentence building, this child-friendly book also helps peers, families and practitioners encourage understanding and inclusion in everyday situations.
Suitable for children aged 3–7, it is an ideal resource for use at home, in early years settings and in the classroom.

Please Wait for Me by Alice Brand is a warm and accessible children’s story that gently introduces the idea that everyone communicates in different ways. It helps children build understanding, encourages kindness, and supports inclusive friendships. A meaningful read that benefits not just those with speech and language needs, but any classroom or home looking to nurture empathy and acceptance.
